MOCA Local Genius Award
Established in 2008 to publicly recognize the economic, social, and cultural value of innovative thinkers in the fabric of our daily lives, the MOCA Local Genius Award is given annually to visionary and innovative Tucsonans whose activities have a global impact within and beyond their respective fields. The Awards are a testament to the rich intellectual diversity of the region and a reflection of MOCA's commitment to honoring cutting edge creativity in all disciplines and practices. Nominees are considered annually from a variety of subject areas and a select few are awarded.
The awardees will be celebrated throughout the fall of 2008 with a series of MOCA Local Genius Awardee events at MOCA on The Plaza, 149 N. Stone, and at the MOCA Local Genius Award Gala on March 28, 2009 (Black-tie requested.)
